On January 5th 2016 the Governor or the State of Michigan declared a State of Emergency in regards to the health and safety of the residence of Flint, Michigan, after the discovery of the presence of lead in the drinking water.
The Michigan State Police Emergency Management and Homeland Security Divsion was the first agency to respond to the crisis. For several months I designed flyers, door hangers, web assets, logos, branding and too many other items to list as my small part in the recovery process. I was also tasked with having many of these items translated into Cantonese, Arabic, Spanish and Hmong. I’m proud of the work that I did during this time, but disappointed and heartbroken that it had to be done at all.
